It may be your favorite track or guilty pleasure, but you probably have heard several Backstreet Boys songs and immediately liked them. They have been rockin’ stages all over the globe for quite some time now, and it seems like now they are better than ever.
Luckily for you and your friends, the Backstreet Boys tour 2022 is coming towards you, with various tour dates in the United States and other countries.
But before you buy Backstreet Boys tickets to enjoy their impressive live performances, let’s see which are their best songs everyone should listen to, especially fans of pop music.
More Than That
More Than That is a track from the Black & Blue album that is certainly a great example of a well-made pop music song. It was the third single from their album, and it was released back on August 17th, 2001.
This song is not one of their instant hits, and they most certainly have some of those. It managed to reach number 27 on Billboard Hot 100, being on the chart for twenty weeks, and it also reached number twelve on the UK Singles Chart. The paradox is that this track ended their 13th consecutive top ten runs, but this doesn’t mean that it’s not one of their best songs since, through time, it became one of their biggest hits ever.
Like many other tracks from various performers, they maybe aren’t instant hits or don’t peak at number one, but the audience loves them, and that’s the most important thing.
I Want It That Way
This one is a number one single from the Millennium album, and believe it or not, the acoustic-guitar arpeggio riff in the track was actually inspired by Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters. As you can see, music has no boundaries, as it should be.
I Want It That Way became a mega-hit right away after its release on August 12th, 1999. Of course, it’s a pop music song, and it peaked at number one on many music charts all over the world. As for the USA, it hit number one on Billboard’s US Adult Contemporary, US Mainstream Top 40, US Top 40 Tracks, and it was also number one in the UK on UK Indie and UK Singles.
Of course, being such a popular song, it sold millions of copies worldwide, and the RIAA certified it triple platinum.
Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)
Everybody put them on the world map for sure since it was the first single from their second international studio album. It was released back in 1997, and Joseph Kahn directed the music video for the track.
This track was also a hit that peaked high on the music charts worldwide, peaking at number one in Hungary, Spain, and Romania, and it was also number 3 on UK Singles and number 4 on US Billboard Hot 100. And it was definitely a selling success since it was certified platinum in the States and the UK, and it sold a considerable amount of copies in countries worldwide.
Furthermore, it had some success in various music awards, winning Best Group Video on MTV Video Music Awards, People’s Choice Favorite International Group, etc.
Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely
Yet another song from the Millennium album, Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely, was the third single released back in 1999, when the Backstreet Boys were really rocking the music industry.
It’s fair to say that this track was one of the best Backstreet Boys songs when it comes to the music charts. It peaked in the top three on most music charts worldwide, and more importantly, it managed to peak at number one on the US Mainstream Top 40 by Billboard. Also, this beautiful track managed to have a year-end number six position on the US Adult Contemporary chart.
This famous track was also nominated at the Grammy Awards, which was also a great success even though it didn’t win in the Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals category.
All I Have to Give
Last but not least, All I Have to Give was the latest single from their self-titled debut album in the United States. And even though its best result on the USA charts was number three on Billboard’s US Dance Singles Sales, it didn’t matter since the steady sales of the album altogether helped push this song to the sky.
It’s one of their best ones for sure, which was also a reasonably successful track for sales as a single, certified platinum by the RIAA, and it also sold more than 200,000 copies in the United Kingdom.
So, please don’t waste any more time and have fun listening to these beautiful tracks, but also buy Backstreet Boys concert tickets for their upcoming shows since every chance to watch them perform live is a time well spent.
