The Crown Season 5 is all set to start the shoot along with new cast from July. According to the reports Imelda Staunton will be seen in this season in the role Queen Elizabeth along with Tenet star Elizabeth Debicki will be in the character of Princess Diana. However, the shoot of this series is to be done at Elstree Studios, just north of London, under strict Covid-19 protocols.
The Crown Season 5 Soon to begin with the Shoot
The makers have confirmed that the shoot of season 5 of The Crown is to begin from July. Also, this upcoming season will come up with the whole new cast. Here are the cast names along with their character’s name:
- Elizabeth Debicki – Princess Diana
- Dominic West – Prince Charles
- Imelda Staunton – Queen Elizabeth
- Lesley Manville – Princess Margaret
Currently, UK is following lockdown restrictions as in to speed down the spread of this existing pandemic. However there is a hope of improvement in the current situation by July. Apart from this, the country will start easing the third national lockdown from 12 April, that was put there since January.
The Crown Season 5 Insight
This upcoming season will showcase the ear-shattering time for Royal Family, the time of 90s when Princess Diana and Prince Charles took divorce. However, the fourth season of this series was wrapped up last year during the ongoing pandemic in March. Previous season was launched on 20 November, 2020 and soon Season 5 will soon be in process of it’s making. The Crown Season 5 was expected to be the final season of this series however later Season 6 got the confirmation from the makers. Also, the fact that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s exited the Royal Family, The Crown will not feature these two characters.
The Crown is all focused on the life of Queen Elizabeth II. The show consists total of 4 Seasons up till now consisting of 40 episodes. However Season 5 is expected to be released somewhere between late 2021 to early 2022.
