A civilian drone, unidentified, recently entered the airspace in the islet nearby, which was off the Chinese coastline. This was the first time Taiwanese military forces took this step, after seeing an increase in such incidents. After Nancy Pelosi’s unexpected visit to the island, the U.S. House of Representatives speaker visited Taiwan. The government tightened military security.

According to multiple sources, the Taiwan military captured a unidentified drone and took it into the airspace of Shiyu Island. This island is located in the Taiwanese area. After Nancy Pelosi’s surprise visit, the military force claimed the area was restricted. After this, the Beijing government decided to place strong military security surrounding the island. It claims Taiwan as its own, and it did so against the Taipei Government’s objection.

According to the Defense Ministry of Taiwan, Jinmen (who holds the position of Defense Commander Officer within the Taiwan military) stated that the incident occurred on Thursday at 12:30 pm. A drone was observed flying in the restricted island’s airspace. In his statement, he stated that the Taiwanese military would continue to take all necessary measures to limit such activities which could be extremely dangerous to security.

Taiwan Takes down Chinese Drones in order to ensure safety and security. Similar drones unidentified were seen flying above the restricted island mid-August. Kinmen claimed that two additional drones were seen flying above the restricted island of Kinmen. The other flew above a lion islet. This Incident happened on Saturday and Monday, respectively.

China was reportedly suspicious of the drone that flew above the Lion Island. It was only 30 meters from the ground. Taiwan’s government stated that they are furious at the same type of Incident over and again.
