This masterpiece has been designed to add the 4th axis to the Snapmaker modules, unlocking a new world of functionality, prototyping, and opportunities to the already versatile machine. These properties allow you to jump from 2.5D CNC machining to incredibly detailed designs that look as good as 3D prints.

When it was released in early 2021 as part of the Snapmaker campaign to celebrate Makers spirit, Snapmaker 2.0 rotary module received immense praise and positive review from its users. Like all Snapmaker modules, the Snapmaker rotary module is precisely machined from anodized aluminum, making it lightweight yet high-performance. In addition, Snapmaker 2.0 rotary module comes in two sizes, the A250T and the A350T, which are made to fit perfectly with Snapmaker 3D printers.

The module is characterized by three-dimensional artwork that can create gaming miniatures, small-sized sculptors, or even hollow objects, and it has the ability to accomplish a level of details and craftsmanship that no other 3D printing can without extrusion, layer shifting, enclosure, or the support of FDM.

The Snapmaker rotary module has swappable 3-jaw chucks that clamp inward or outward, and it’s put together with the dedicated tailstocks that give it extra stability during precise operations. Moreover, it uses strain wave gearing and packs a 100:1 speed reducer that converts power to a lower output speed; this allows the 3-jaw chuck to rotate with a minimum angle of 0.1 degrees, making it possible for you to make it on uneven and irregular surfaces without missing a step.

As part of the Snapmaker 2.0 rotary module, a Snapmaker emergency stop button is offered to Users, giving them an extra layer of safety during operations. With just one press on the stop button and all operations will stop. The Snapmaker 2.0 emergency button can practically be installed anywhere, allowing easy accessibility anytime needed. For example, if you want to save your work of art or the bit crashes into the machine, you simply press the emergency button, and the process stops preventing your work from more damage. When you press the emergency stop button, a stop signal is sent to the controller, and a glowing status indication is displayed; green is for stability, flashing red is for activated, and alternating between green and red is for connecting.

Just like all Snapmaker machines, the Snapmaker rotary module is compatible with Snapmaker Luban software which is a customized software with an intelligent visualized G-code generated workflow to help users quickly set up their work. It is also compatible with Snapmaker free CAD and CAM software. You can use them to import STL files or create something from scratch.

The 5-inch touch screen is also a feature added to the Snapmaker 2.0 rotary module; together with the Origin assistant, your experience and interaction with rotary carving are smoothened. You can choose to assist mode for a more manageable process or the manual mode for more flexible controls. Presetting CNC bits, setting origins, Z –offsets, and installing materials have been made easy.

Last but not least, Snapmaker 2.0 rotary module supports many materials such as wood, plastics, leather, fabric, tooling board, bamboo, non-transparent acrylic, and many more. Furthermore, the Snapmaker rotary module is compatible with all and future Snapmaker modules and add-ons that the company releases.
