One Esports Dota 2 Majors Singapore: 6 Teams Affected from COVID, Na’Vi and Other Team Updates

The increasing cases of COVID have now effected 6 teams out of 18, who were about to participate in Dota 2‘s first LAN of the year. The tournament is all set to begin from 27th March, Saturday, but the question of who will be able to participate in this game still remains. However, there are still two options for the team, either the team to fly to Singapore along with their substitutions or to bypass the event completely.

As if now, two teams have already done the withdrawal from this about to start tournament that means now there are total 16 groups to participate. Last week, captain Andrii “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko and Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko were tested Corona positive and after sometime even the coach Andrey “Mag” Chipenko was found Corona positive, before the team departing for Singapore. However Natus Vincere and beastcoast not being the part of this tournament anymore is confirmed.

In the press release the team has wished all the other CIS players best of luck and has also wished for the speedy recovery of Mag, Iceberg and ALWAYSWANNAFLY. Apart from this the team has also updated about about the team tested positive. They said captain Steven “Stinger” Vargas Mamani of Peru after being tested positive have been isolated and there are chances of four more players of being effected. Also Beastcoast stated that all the other players have been tested negative in fact they are still being monitored closely.

Anyhow, just like the saying goes ‘The show must go on’ the tournament is all set to begin in Singapore and the Grand Finale is to take place on 4th April. Apart from this the winner will receive $200,000 from the $500,000 prize pool.
