More than 6 lakh candidates appear for the UPSC Preliminary exam every year, out of which about 10000 aspirants get shortlisted for the Main exam. Approximately 2400 candidates are called for the personality test/interview. 

The result has been declared for Civil Services Examination 2021 by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 30th May 2022 on its official website, i.e. upsc.gov.in. A total of 658 candidates have been appointed for the services of IAS, IPS, IFS, central services, and Group A and Group B services. Although the commission had appointed 761 candidates for the above-mentioned services in the previous year

UPSC 2022 has declared the civil services result 2022 for the UPSC 2022 examinations on the basis of a written examination which was held in January and Personality Test interviews which were held in April-May 2022.

Check UPSC Result 2022

Candidates who have appeared for the Civil services Preliminary and Main exams can check their result by going through the following steps:

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC, i.e. www.upsc.gov.in
  2. Go down and click on “Written Result”.
  3. Refer to the result link.
  4. Search for the result with your roll number. 
  5. You can download the result and keep a printout for future purposes.

UPSC Mains Result 2022

The UPSC will release the Main result somewhere around November or December of 2022. The exam has already been conducted on 16, 17, 18, 24 & 25th of September. Candidates who clear the UPSC Main 2022 exam will be called for personality test and interview in January 2023. The candidates who get shortlisted will then fill up and submit DAF-II form via online mode. The marks and cutoff will be uploaded on the official website of UPSC after the declaration of UPSC Final Result. 

Certificates mandatory for UPSC Interview

The candidates who get shortlisted will be required to produce only the original documents at the time of personality test. The most vital documents one should carry during the interview include educational certificates, age proofs, community certificate, physically handicapped certificate (if applicable), etc. A candidate must go through the call letter, sent by the Commission, to know about the important documents required at the time of personality test and interview.

Important points to know before downloading the interview/personality test letter:

  1. A candidate can download his/her e-summon letter for personality test only from the official website of UPSC. 
  2. Only the qualified and shortlisted candidates can download these letters with their login credentials.
  3.  Go to the official website of UPSC and click on ‘Interview Schedule and e-Summon Letters’ tab. 
  4. One can access the letter 5 days before the scheduled personality test/interview. 
  5. One should also be aware that e-summon letters are not issued as paper by UPSC.
  6.  In case of any query, reach out to the Office of the Commission.

UPSC result 2022

The UPSC may release the final result for various services in January 2023. The UPSC result 2022 for Final shall be available for the aspirants who have been a part of the interview or the final examination. Refer the following steps to view UPSC Final result:

  1. Visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission, i.e. www.upsc.gov.in
  2. Go down and click on “Final Result”.
  3. Open the result link and enter your roll number/name.
  4. Download the result and keep a printout with yourself.
  5. Candidates who fail to clear the UPSC Main exam can see their marksheets on the official website of UPSC in about 15 days after the release of Final result. The marksheets remain available for 30 days on the website after they are uploaded.
