Blade Runner Black Lotus Episode 8 – Release Date, Delay and Plot
The 8th Episode is titled as “The Davis Report”. Well, after all that build up in episode 7th fans were eager to what the next episode releasing on 19th December 2021 was about to unfold. But the production announced that the episode is postponed. We believe it is due to Christmas break which is a must for everyone! Most of the shows currently running has given the production team and the fans a Christmas from releases. With keeping that in mind, the Episode 8 will be releasing on 2 January 2022.
This 13-episode anime series is a loop-hole fixer series for the Black Lotus Franchise! Sola Digital Arts licenses this series. Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama will be directing each and every episode. Shinichirō Watanabe serves as a creative producer for Black Lotus. Adult Swim and Crunchyroll are the ones who are co-producing this budding series and releasing them. They premiered Black Lotus very recently i.e., 14th November 2021.
Plot
The whole series is set in 2032 which puts it ten years after the blackout in 2022. Everything is focused on a female replicant protagonist named as Elle. Elle wakes up in the back of a truck in October 2032. She has no memories whatsoever but finds a Black Lotus tattoo embedded in her skin. She walks to LA without any knowledge about who she is or where she is exactly going. And she also carries an encrypted data device. Amidst that she is attacked by a gang when she recalls her own name and her residence.
While she goes to her alleged apartment she meets Doc Badger. She asks about the device to which he says if she stops the gang from troubling he will try to encode it. She kills the leader and gets more flashbacks of her past killings. Following the storyline we will discover more about Wallace Corp and clear the origin of characters which are main in the Blade Runner Franchise.
BRBL – Recap and Characters
Elle gets injured due to the explosion. And she goes to Joseph’s flat for safety. But Officer Alani Davis arrives there. As a result, Elle hides in a room and escapes after a while. Due to Elle’s killing, Wallace Sr. decides to sell Tyrell assets. This includes the replicant programs and it concerns Wallace Jr. He fights back and says his work is flawless. And he assures that it will be evident soon enough. Elle sneaks into Doctor M’s building but gets caught. Doctor M and his colleague Goodman restrains her to a machine and uses it to see her memories. They confirm that her programming is different.
They also confirm that there were additions by someone else. She gets free and attacks them. By holding her blade to his neck, she demands answers. Doctor M confesses that Wallace Sr. orchestrated the Doll Hunt. Security then enters the building. She kills him in a moment. And this frightens Goodman. Griped by fear he confirms what Doctor M said. But he also adds that her memory with a boyfriend by the pool is real.
