Among us which is developed and published by the American game studios, Innersloth is an online multiplayer game mode social deduction game. This game was released on iOS and Android in June 2018. It came to Windows in November 2018. Among us switched to the macOS platform in November 2020 and in Nintendo Switch in December 2020.
Gameplay:
Among us is based on a spaced-theme setting where the players are divided into Crewmates and imposters. Crewmates have to complete their assigned tasks and recognize the imposters and expel them. Imposters have the goal to sabotage and kill the crewmates without being identified and stop the crewmates to complete their tasks. If a crewmate caught an imposter while killing, venting, or finds suspicious, an emergency meeting may be called for voting out the imposter. Eliminating imposter would lead the team of crewmates to a win and deluded crewmates lose the game and imposters win.
Recent Updates:
The recent updates turned all the anonymous votings into grey, added symbols to fix wires, comms sabotage will clear security logs, added cosmetics to the meeting screen, taskbar mode was the always mode works like normal, Meeting mode also got updated it during meetings, and invisible removes the bar entirely. Various bugs were also fixed. A new map will also be updated soon.
A sudden drop in the number of players?
Among us was recently compared to a game the new Battle-Royale game Fall Guys, which shares the same plot as Among us. Fall off even has alike graphics even similar characters. Since last month there is a huge drop in players, a steady decline rate started in November 2020.
