The series explores the concept of how parallel worlds exist and sees its characters often being transported from the seemingly normal world to a world filled with swords and magic and known by the name Alayzard. Anyone who survives in Alayzard returns to the normal world with special magic abilities. Thereon these returnees are trained to use their powers by Babel, an international training organization, and offers them protection.
The protagonist of the series is Akatsuki, who is described as a wayward hero. He was sent to Alayzard, from where he emerged victorious after defeating the Dark Lord, Garius in battle. When returning to Earth, he brought along with him a girl named Miu, who is the daughter of Garius.
Upon their return, they are both taken under the wing of Babel. The viewers eventually learn that Miu and Akatsuki are long-lost siblings, and the remainder of the story revolves around whether or not this revelation comes to their notice, and the effects it could have on their relationship.

Fans are extremely excited to have a second season of the show, and a lot of them channelized this excitement into tweets stating their hopes regarding the renewal of the show. As of this point, the chances of the show’s renewal for a second season are slim, as it has been 9 years since it went off-air and there have still been no updates.
There have been no official announcements from the production studio or the director. There is still hope though, as the source material has not been explored fully yet. However, the probability still leans mostly towards the negative side, and forecasts are that if the series releases a second season, it will be between 2021-22, and not anytime after that.
As far as a potential plot for the new season, it could explore various angles. It may delve into Akatsuki’s and Miu’s attempts at covering the revelation that they are siblings. It may also explore a romantic angle between Haruka and Akatsuki, as it was revealed that she has a crush on him.
