Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 166: Recap
Jujutsu Kaisen begins with a flashback to Higuruma’s past when he was still a young apprentice lawyer. His mentor advices him to try out on becoming a judge rather than becoming a public executor or a defence lawyer. The scene then shifts to the present. Yuji Itadori‘s trial ends with the Judgeman sentencing him to death. If Higuruma’s executioner sword hit Yuji then the later woud automatically die.
Then Itadori begins to attack Higuruma by throwing chairs at him. He even landed a punch followed by a kick on Higuruma. Higuruma had seen the evidence submitted to the Judgeman which made him wonder why did Itadori confessed to crime he did not commit. It wasn’t Itadori who caused mass murders in Shibuya but rather it was Sakuna. Higuruma did not use his curse technique and got himself punched by Itadori.
Higuruma then goes on to explain law to Itadori. He tells Itadori that he should’t feel guilty and that he was inncocent. Itadori was possessed by Sakuna who made him murder people. But Itadori still feels guilty saying he was too weak to control it. Higuruma then gives 100 points to Itadori. At the end of the chapter Higuruma asks Itadori if he has ever killed someone out of his own choice. When he said yes, Higuruma asked himwith a sad face “didin’t it feel awful”.
