S.W.A.T. Season 5 episode 6 Recap
Firstly the entire episode was probably made by people who had actual adrenaline rush. Because it made everyone watching be on their toes the entire time! Episode 6 was titled “Crisis Actor” and E6 officially aired on November 12, 2021. The best thing that happened before all this delay? HONDA took the command of his squad back!!
The official synopsis of the episode – “When armed gunmen storm the set of a controversial cable news show that promotes conspiracy theories, the team races to prevent a hostage situation from escalating on live TV. Also, Chris supports Street as he prepares for his mother’s funeral.”
This episode was honestly irritating, nail-biting, wanting to punch in someone’s face, nerve- wracking, and completely spiraling. This episode encountered topics like racism, politics within the police, school shooting, and media. Honda was being targeted by cops for allegedly snitching on his fellow cops. Well, all he did was speak about racism. This went real deep after we get to know that Sanchez was promised a job in governor’s detail. He wouldn’t stay with team and get a promotion if Hondo didn’t give up.
Hirsch an excellent villain-like person. He not only claimed the shooting was fake but also he kept filming sensitive outcomes. He continued with the claim even though the families were trolled and bullied. We also see inappropriate sexism when the producer wanted Chris to come on show because she looked “Hot” in uniform. She rejected the offer and stood firm for better gun laws. Due to the lies, grieving fathers try to take revenge. Unfortunately it ends bad for them.
Few insights into episode 7:
Synopsis of episode 7 – The team works together to hunt down a deadly band of mercenaries hired by a wealthy CEO trying to leave the country before he’s arrested for running a massive Ponzi scheme. All is good since Hondo is back in charge. The synopsis indicates a case involving Russian mob and hoards of money.
We can expect some undercover works. Since it involves Russian mobs the team will have to tiptoe around and justice with the event tactically! And it’s first case after Hondo being back, so it’s not going to be an easy or calm one.
