Beyoncé Giselle Knowles- Carter is a 30 year old American singer-songwriter, actress, and record producer who rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child, one of the best-selling girl groups of all time.
After release of the song 7/11 from her album Beyoncé: Platinum Edition back in 2014, the American singer gained a lot of attention on the internet for the outfits she sported, among other reasons, in the video.
The video seemed to be entirely self made, shot on a phone and beautifully edited to match the beats of the song. The video starts off at the building of a high rise building and follows the singer to various rooms, including the bathroom while her background dancers join her as she’s seen breaking some moves. Fans were pleasantly surprised with the drop of the self- titled release of this music video, especially since it was so low- key in terms of production value for the biggest pop star in the world.
The Beyoncé Kale sweatshirt and Accessories used
What got viewers hooked onto the video and kept bringing them back to it, apart from Beyoncé’s smooth and enjoyable dance moves was the kind of comfortable outfits she wore in the video. Fans describe the outfits worn as chic, effortless and leisurely. While she dances in a navy blue sweatshirt by a ubiquitous L.A. brand called Sub Urban Riot with the word “Kale” printed on it, underwear and Knee Pads, there were various other accessories like red Solo cups, dollar bills, and blow dryers used while shooting her impromptu hotel room dance party. Viewers found this homemade video delightful to watch.
The Kale Merchandise
Soon after, everyone tried to get their hands on the affordable Kale sweatshirt after the release of the video, some celebrities (like Nikki Reed, Lea Michele and Bella Throne) were seen sporting the Kale merch on various occasions.
