Samsung recently has come up with new update policy. According to this policy Galaxy branded android devices will security patches of four years. These devices includes total of 130 models. Last year in 2020 Samsung surprised everyone with three years of android upgrades. Now this extra four years of security patches has been added as an icing on the top.
This new update will include devices such as Galaxy S, Note, Z, A, XCover, and Tab. From ages the company has been lacking in the matter of it’s device security patches. With this new police the Samsung users will take the advantage of three years of android update along with security patches of four years.
Galaxy Devices eligible for Samsung new Android Security Patch advantage are:
- For foldable devices: Fold, Z Fold 2 5G, Z Flip, Z Flip 5G
- For S Series: S10, S10+, S10e, S10 5G, S10 Lite, S20 5G, S20+ 5G, S20 Ultra 5G, S20FE 5G, S21 5G, S21 5G, S21 Ultra 5G
- for Note Series: Note10, Note10+, Note10+ 5G, Note20 5G, Note20 Ultra 5G
- For A Series: A10e, A20, A50, A11, A21, A51, A51 5G, A71 5G
- For X Cover Series: X Cover Field Pro, X Cover Pro
