Rush Limbaugh, an American radio personality is battling advanced lung cancer. He is widely known as the host of his radio show “The Rush Limbaugh Show.” He was diagnosed with advance lung cancer in January 2020. His closed ones as well as fans are praying for his sooner recovery.
2020, Tough time for Limbaugh
While going through treatments he got off-air since 2 February. He was also replaced by another radio host Ken Matthews. Apart from this in February,2020, he also received Presidential Medal from Donald Trump soon after he got diagnosed. Also, his show is the most listened-to radio show in America. In his last broadcast he quoted, “My point in all of this today is gratitude. My point in all of this is to say thanks and tell everybody involved how much I love you from the bottom of a sizable and growing and still-beating heart.”
“You have an expiration date. A lot of people never get told that, so they don’t face life this way,” he said.
Tweet of Limbaugh update and his fans reactions
Recently, the producer of his radio show, James Golden came up with Limbaugh’s update. He tweeted.” Our prayers are with Rush as he continues to fight the illness he has been afflicted with. We are still praying for remission.” Along with this he also wrote “Today @KenMatthews will fill in for Rush. Thanks for all of your prayers, kind words and wishes for our Rush. God Bless you.”
After Golden’s tweet, Limbaugh’s fan replied thanking him for keeping them posted and also left some heartwarming messages for their beloved Limbaugh. One of his fans wrote, “Thank you for fighting, Rush, for your life and for America. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with us, especially this past year. We are so grateful.” Another fan also replied with the message saying that his fans are with him and he is being missed by them.
