Plot of SuperNova
Reuniting with friends and family Sam and Tusker being gay couple partners for 20 years traveling across England to the Lake District. The pair spends as much time together as possible before Tusker dies as he gets diagnosed with early-onset dementia.
Heart Touching Performance
Tucci and Colin Firth both delivered a mesmerizing performance in this movie. Their performance touched the hearts of the audience so much that people shed tears after coming out of the movie theatre.
The Leisure Seeker, a syrupy picture in which Helen Mirren and Donald Sutherland play a squabbling old married couple taking a last Winnebago road-trip is reminded to us when we watch Supernova. Both in the relative calm of the performances and in the unadorned way the countryside is shot Supernova is much more restrained for all its occasional heartstring-plucking and button-pushing. There is no obvious pathetic fallacy and its bucolic loveliness is not forced on us. Whose logo is at least as prominent as the rolling hills Sam and Tusker unsentimentally park up for the night in a supermarket car park which was a very nice moment.
